RULES FOR MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION

ALL MEDICATIONS NEED to be brought in by an adult.  No medication will be administered that is brought in by a student.

All DAILY MEDICATIONS NEED to have a physician's signature on the Medication Authorization Form BEFORE the nurse and/or health aide is able to give the medication.  Please try to have this done BEFORE the medication is brought to the health office.

EMERGENCY AND MAINTANCE MEDICATIONS, such as inhalers, Epi-Pens, Auvi-Q, and Diastat NEED to have a physician's signature on the Medication Authorization Form BEFORE the nurse and/or health aide is able to give the medication.  Please try to have this done BEFORE the medication is brought to the health office.

All AS NEEDED, such as ibuprofen (Motrin/Advil) and acetaminophen (Tylenol) do NOT to have a physician's signature on the Medication Authorization Form, AS LONG as it is going to be given less than 14 days.  If you anticipate the medication to be given longer than 14 days, we will need a physician's signature.

COUGH DROPS do NOT need a medication authorization form. The student can carry these on them.  If they are younger and you would prefer them to be held in the nurse's office, you may fill out a form and send them to the health office.

NON FDA APPROVED MEDICATIONS CANNOT BE GIVEN AT SCHOOL.  THIS INCLUDES CBD OIL, ESSENTIAL OILS, AND HERBAL SUPPLIMENTS.
